Banner Indusmedia 2016

On 30th May 2016 the "100 Smart Cities in India" conference took place as part of the Indo-German Collaboration on Smart Cities and Urbanisation. On behalf of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB), and with partners such as Ministry of Urban Development, Govt of India, Indian Embassy Berlin, National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) and Asia-Pacific Forum Berlin e.V, the conference brought together government representatives, institutions, and leading companies from both sides on a common platform to exchange, understand, deliberate and collaborate on ideas and technologies to modernise Indian cities.

Minister M.Venkaiah Naidu "He came to Germany to spread the news that there is a Renaissance in India, there is a new awareness, a new mindset, a new determination in his country. India is willing to improve the living standards of its people and make its cities more liveable, more healthy and more secure. His visit also aims for more support and investments from Germany for further cities in India – apart from the already chosen three cities, Bhubaneswar, Kochi and Coimbatore"
